The Proposal!

Sooo... After I had bugged Casey for a few weeks that we need to hurry up and get engaged so I can plan things for the wedding, he finally got the hint on Easter Sunday! He had spent pretty much all day at my house watching conference and left so he could get ready and so I could get ready since we ere going to the temple that night. When we got to the temple we walked around for a bit, then he sat down on a bench so I sat down. He said, "Maren, i've been thinking about us lately and I got you something... (as he reaches in his pocket and simultaniously grabs my left hand) Its big and shiny and will need to possibly be resized." So guess what he does.. he pulls out a huge plastic diamond ring you would put on your key chain and says, "I just want you to know that I am thinking about getting engaged to you soon, I just need to get your ring first" I almost punched him in the face BUT I didn't and GOOD thing too!
Shortly after we left the Temple, I wasn't paying attention to where he was driving, but he drove west on main and parked by the mesa art center. I thought this was weird but didn't think anything since he pretty much ruined a perfect proposal opportunity, anyways we walked to this water fixture thing was and sat down, then he said, oh wait turn around, and when I turned around I saw up on a building everyone from both of our families with a big poster saying, "Maren, will you marry me?" Then I look at Casey and he's kneeling down and asking me to marry him with the "real" diamond ring!!! I said yes! I feel sooo lucky to have him he is definately ONE of a kind!!!









I was so happy that both of our families could be there to see it cause it gave them an opportunity to meet eachother and It meant a lot to me that we could all experience that together:)

The big day is June 24th and I will keep everyone updated!!!

I'm engaged!!!! No April fools! I am engaged to Casey McDowell and the big day is June 24th! So mark your calendars whoever still looks at this blog!! i'll post pics of the proposal and more info later!!

All Around the World Beauty Event!!!
Each year, Kohler academy showcases the talents of their students by putting together an over-the-top "fashion" show allowing each student to show their creative work on a model! I will be showing off an edgier side of myself using my very own sister Kaylee as my model! The group of students I work with chose Norway as our theme, so come and see all the excitement and talent! Tickets are just $20.00 and all of the procedes go toward the Phoenix Childrens Hospital! If you are interested in coming, let me know before tickets get sold out!
